- 4,200 ft long, concrete construction in good condition

- December 2011: Taxiway B & A rehab project complete
- October 2011: New Business, LakePoint Aviation, bases a Cessna 172M Rental Airplane at the airport. LakePoint offers the rental airplane and flight training at the airport. Their online scheduler is linked to this page on the left side.
- October 2011: Construction began to rehab Taxiway B & A.
- May 2011: Aerobatic Box approved at EQA. Beechcraft T-6C Texan II began practicing air show maneuvers.
- April 2011: New Business, Heinen Brothers Agra Services, comes to the airport to provide Aerial Application Services for East-Central Kansas.
- March 2011: Airport Videos now can be seen at www.youtube.com/eldoradoairport including: Airport Tour, Event Clips, and Interesting Aircraft in the pattern.
- January 2011: Apron re-construction Complete.
- December 2010: Certificate of Authorization received from the FAA allowing Flint Hills Solutions to utilize EQA.
- September 2010: Construction began on Apron.

El Dorado Municipal is prepared to address the future. Having obtained a sound and realistic master plan the airport will continue its role as an important link to the national air transportation system for the community and maintain the existing public and private investments in its facilities. Committed to growth in a safe and efficient manner while planning for future demand levels below are some of our future plans.
